there are spots around the house now that are beginning to make me smile. as quirky and awkward as so many of the spaces seem to be, now some of them have memories that seem to impress on the space and leave them different. there are spaces now that i fill with fresh flowers every week from the bouquets i get from the farmer's market. i love the color and all the possibilities from one bouquet. there are floors that have been danced on now as we have taken up a nightly routine of dancing to one of Brave's theme songs before Hannah goes down for bed. (btw, in case i forgot to write it elsewhere HAO your first movie was Brave. Dad and you stood in line for an hour for an early screening in downtown Seattle.) our table has had guests, which is nearly one of our favorite things and i can see Jasmine, and now my parents at my table here. i can even hear some of the conversation.

the kitchen now reminds of me of scents from the delectable fresh sausage we got last week at the Ballard Market or even the stinky smell after all the salmon we have been cooking. the basement reminds me of our dual painting times and of all the hours you wish to play dollhouse and how I turn the space heater on to stay warm down there. i can't talk so much about our bedroom because that isn't for the blog (ha ha), but I am happy that we have made a cozy room as we downsized considerably on what doesn't even seem proper to call a master. right now the first image that comes to mind actually is Stephen's love for his new series Battlestar Galactaship or something like that that he watches on the ipad as i drift on and remind him 10x a night to get more sleep. **i really must quit worrying about the things for others that they have no concern for themselves. truly, i mean it in a loving healthy way, its unnecessary.

one of the most loved spaces has quickly become our strip of side porch. we eat every meal we can out there which these days has been every meal. i never imagined my smoothie and Hannah's oatmeal to be so delightful but with the sun on our face and the breeze on our backs we soak it up. we are surrounded by large clay pots that we have filled with herbs, flowers, peas and tomatoes. our strip overlooks our neighbors patio and we have actually come quite accustomed to both being out eating meals, saying our greetings and carrying on at our tables. we have grown quite find of mr.ken and ms. marilyn our sweet neighbors. i continue to escape to the small parcel for my version of hot yoga and i really enjoy it.

the most wonderful feeling has to be that the sun continues to shine now and that NW summer has begun. we reached 80 today for the FIRST time. i repeat. 80, first time. july 7. honestly folks, please, do a farewatcher and come see us, the weather is spectacular. similarly to never having experienced anything like the gray and cold, i have never seen days like these and apparently we have at least 60 more to come. hallelujah.
